Painting

Several students in our class attended zoomobile day at the middle school. We had about  sixty younger students who were ready to paint. Each child was able to choose a certain size canvas. Given many different colors they were able to paint their 'sense of the community'. The paintings were all really different. My favorite piece of artwork was a simple black canvas with writing that said, "the power went out". I am not so sure the student was aware of how powerful the painting was, but I believe it has deep meaning. I really enjoyed this event and it made me realize that I actually like working with children.
