Spreading the Word

Today, Ngeri, Megan, Molly, Missy, Hillary, and I set out into the community to hand out fliers and spread the word about our event. Before starting this we went to the Polish Home Hall in order to get a better feel for the lay out. We drew up a few maps of how our event should be set up. After this we began canvassing. Unfortunately when we began we did not have enough fliers so we took a trip to HHGreg and made 150 copies. After this, we broke up into groups of three and went door-to-door handing out our fliers. As a group we managed to pass out all 150 papers. I believe that this trip was very successful. We were able to talk to several community members who all seemed very interested. I think it is really important that we get back into the community like this again as many times as possible before the event. It seems to be the most effective way to spread the word.
